Leadership Level 2

It’s been said that everything rises or falls on leadership. Leadership is the one main action that will either move the church into its mission and vision or will lead the church into an unhealthy culture where the perception is vague at best about what the church should be doing for the community and the world. Our mission is clear, “Following Jesus Christ, Making Disciples, Transforming our Community and the World.” And our vision remains the same, “A community of followers of Jesus Christ who are offering real ministry for real life.” Paul says God calls forth leaders to teach and train the rest of the body of believers to serve and in serving leaders are born and the church fulfills its mandate of the Great Commission.

Paul says, “The gifts that He gave were that some would be apostles, some prophets, some evangelists, some pastors and teachers, to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ, until all of us come to the unity of the faith and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to maturity, to the measure of the full stature of Christ.” Ephesians 4:11-13 NRSV. HHUMC depends on leaders who are committed to the vision and mission of our church; leaders who can provide leadership in key areas of the church.

Each year HHUMC provides opportunities and training in three different levels of leadership. Leadership Level 1 is for anyone interested in advancing their own awareness and knowledge of leadership skills. Leadership Level 2 is provided for those persons who have taken the Level 1 course and wish to further their knowledge and advancement of Leadership skills for use not just in the life of the church but also in any area of life, such as work and family. If you have taken the Leadership Level 1 class then this trail is for you. If you feel like you have gifts that may align well with the mission and vision of HHUMC please indicate your interest and your name will be given to the Leadership Board for further consideration and future opportunities to take leadership training such as Leadership Level 1.
